40 years of experience
In 1982, a group of entrepreneurs from scientific instrumentation field joined forces, enthusiasm, and drive to create MCV with the aim of designing and producing national equipment for atmospheric environment control that could fulfill the needs of meteorological and environmental sector.
MCV’s first years were characterized by manual equipment production for capturing gases and particles in immision and researching other equipment and technologies. In fact, after a very short time, we began to manufacture automatic equipment and analyzers with our own technology.
The year 1986 is significant as we became the first company in Spain to manufacture specialized equipment in atmospheric control. Thanks to these equipment, we promote large-scale projects such as the Weather Forecasting System of Catalonia (SIPAC) project of Torre de Collserola (Barcelona), the installation of Spanish Antarctic Station or the installation of more than 100 air quality and weather stations in different points of Spanish territory that are still in operation today.
After 40 years, we can affirm that entrepreneurial and innovative spirit continues to strongly vibrate within MCV. Over the last few years, we have installed, supplied, and managed more than 300 equipment in Europe, South America, and Antarctica, which have brought us wide recognition within the sector.
We are experts in environmental quality and meteorology
We are specialized in environmental quality and meteorology sector. We also rely on a national and international network of collaborators.
Currently in MCV, we are a team of 30 people mainly specialized in engineering and electronics. We have extensive experience in environmental quality and meteorology sector. Moreover, we coordinate with a wide network of collaborators both nationally and internationally to continue growing professionally.
As a team, we work keeping ethics at the heart of decision-making. Our motivation is the job well done and achieving success for each project that we take part in. At MCV, we focus our interest on organic growth, with a long-term vision, and the purpose of generating innovation and creating value-added work.
Atmospheric Control
We are the first to start to manufacture national atmospheric control equipment in Spain.

We have installed more than 300 weather stations nationally and internationally.

We have manufactured and supplied more than 1,000 products for atmospheric environment control.
We coordinate environmental engineering projects
We design and manufacture measuring equipment for air quality and meteorological variables, and implement and manage environmental quality networks.
We carry out and coordinate complex environmental engineering projects. We are specialized in air quality and meteorology control. We also take on technical support, maintenance, installation, and calibration of equipment, and data exploitation and training.
We have the certifications of ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 14001 for environmental management (EMS), EMAS for eco-management and audit scheme, and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety.
Thanks to our calibration laboratory, accredited by ENAC (Spanish National Accreditation Body) according to the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 Standard, we perform calibrations in the fields of fluids-flow and in chemistry: gas concentration.
